Japanese Feast

It's mum's birthday on Wednesday, so I decided to make her a grand Japanese feast, as an early birthday present (that way she can make her own plans for the night of her birthday!)

Here's a really short video of the dishes that I served for her big dinner!

It turned out to be a fantastic dinner! More perfect than I could have hoped for!

Dishes included were:
* Teryiaki Chicken
* Agedashi Tofu
* Fried Prawns
* Grilled Salmon
* Shreded Carrots and Parsnip
* Salad, and Chicken Soup (I didn't make Miso Soup, which is the only not-so-perfect thing).
* And of course, rice to go with the meal.

It all worked out surprisingly well! We even had a gold table cloth and oriental tissue box lying around, which was perfect for the theme!

And here's what it looked like once we were done!

This whole meal was first inspired by the Agedashi Tofu.

Thanks to the lovely recipe found at http://www.grouprecipes.com/23040/agedashi-tofu.html.
